More than 7,000 artifacts have been received, cataloged and displayed in our museum. Cataloging allows us to search the computer to locate an individual item or event.
In addition to operating the museum, Society volunteers handle correspondence, memberships, and arranging special programs and speakers. They also do photography and printing. We also make presentations to schools and community groups. Searching flea markets and public sales for additional artifacts is another task we keep up with.
The Society’s motto, “Preserving the Past for the Future” shows our purpose. The Museum is a place to reminisce and a source for people and visitors to learn about the varied history of the Fleetwood area.
